How we make money
Last updated July 11, 2026
Nomad Advisers is free to read, and the visa checker and comparison tools are free to use. Here is how the site pays for itself, in plain language.
Affiliate links
We feature services that people living and working abroad actually use: travel and health insurance, VPNs, banking and money transfer, eSIMs, and US LLC formation. Some of the links to those services are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, the company pays us a fee.
It never changes the price
The fee comes out of the company's marketing budget, not your pocket. You pay the same price whether you arrive through our link or go to the provider directly.
How to spot a partner link
Partner links are tagged as sponsored for search engines, and most of them pass through a nomadadvisers.com/go/ address so we can count clicks. Editorial links to government sources, official immigration pages, and non-partner sites are plain links.
Editorial independence
We choose what to cover and what to say about it. Our comparisons show partners' weaknesses alongside their strengths, and being a partner never guarantees a favorable write-up. Plenty of pages on this site link to services that pay us nothing, because they are the right answer for that page.
One exception worth knowing about: insurance is a regulated product, so on some insurance pages we are required to use the provider's own approved wording instead of writing our own descriptions. Those pages say so through the disclosure line on the page.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information. See the privacy policy.
- We do not accept payment to change a verdict, a ranking, or a comparison table.
- We do not invent figures. Visa requirements, costs, and tax rules are sourced from official government and provider pages, and we date them.
